Washington Borough and Township NJ roof replacement, repairs, gutter replacement and siding. Licensed and insured.
Washington covers two distinct places: Washington Borough, a compact older town center with homes close together on narrow lots, and Washington Township, which spreads out around it with rural properties, hillside lots, and newer subdivisions. The roofing job is genuinely different depending on which side of that line you're on — borough work is about access and staging on tight streets, township work is about wind exposure, long roof runs, and outbuildings.
DGC Roof serves both. Roof replacement, roof repair, gutter replacement and repair, siding replacement. Licensed and insured, written 5-year workmanship warranty. Call (732) 430-5765.
In the borough, expect older homes with plank decking, existing shingle layers, and porch or addition roofs at a shallow slope that need a membrane rather than shingles. In the township, expect larger roof areas and more wind exposure, which puts the emphasis on edge detailing and fastening. Either way we tear off to the deck, repair the sheathing, install ice-and-water shield at eaves and valleys, correct ventilation, and finish with architectural shingles.
Frequent repairs here: wind uplift damage on township properties, chimney flashing on older borough masonry, valley leaks, porch and low-slope roof failures, and ice dam damage after a hard winter. We handle emergency tarping for active leaks and permanent repairs after.
Borough lots need downspouts routed deliberately so water doesn't end up against your foundation or on the property line. Township properties need capacity — long roof runs on larger homes shed more water than a builder-default gutter system can handle. We install seamless aluminum formed on site in 5-inch and 6-inch, size downspouts by roof area, and repair existing systems including repitching, hanger and seam work, and fascia replacement.
We replace siding in vinyl, insulated vinyl, and fiber cement across both the borough and the township. On older homes the siding job usually includes sheathing repair and new house wrap, because what's behind aging aluminum or first-generation vinyl has rarely been looked at. Trim, soffit, and fascia replaced in the same pass.
We serve Washington Borough and Washington Township including the areas along Route 31, Route 57, Broad Street, and the Pohatcong and Musconetcong valleys, plus Port Colden and Broadway. We also serve Oxford, Belvidere, Hackettstown, Phillipsburg, Glen Gardner, and Hope.
Yes, both. They're different jobs, and we price each for what it is.
